Systems / Relay
Your console, in detail.
Game formats, controls and saves for the twelve systems in Relay.
Game Boy
A monochrome screen, a direction pad and A/B: simple controls for .gb cartridges.
Game Boy Color
Color cartridge games use .gbc; a different filename is not a color conversion.
Game Boy Advance
GBA uses .gba, a wide 3:2 screen and L/R shoulder buttons.
NES
NES uses .nes. Passwords and game saves depend on the original game.
Super NES
SNES accepts .sfc and .smc; keep the four face buttons and shoulders within reach.
Nintendo DS
Nintendo DS has two screens; the lower screen accepts touch. A .nds game is not a Nintendo 3DS game.
Master System
Master System uses .sms, numbered 1/2 buttons and the console’s Pause control.
Game Gear
Game Gear uses .gg and its own handheld screen proportions, not the Master System layout.
PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16
This page covers HuCard .pce games. PC Engine CD is separate. HuCards have no cartridge save memory; use game passwords and Relay states.
WonderSwan
WonderSwan uses .ws and two direction-button groups for landscape and portrait games.
WonderSwan Color
WonderSwan Color uses .wsc; preserve the game’s intended orientation and color-model identity.
PlayStation
PlayStation is supported in Relay. Disc companions and your own validated BIOS matter; a generic ISO is not automatically a compatible PlayStation game.
